Elizabeth Ball Molotsky is a first time mama that lives in New York City with her new baby Charles and husband, David. We have a conversation about those first few weeks home from the hospital and how to prepare for the transition into mom life. Elizabeth gives an honest perspective about how much her marriage, has been impacted as a result of becoming a mom, something she didn’t anticipate. She also shares about how her lactation consultant has been such a huge support when it comes to knowing if her baby is eating and sleeping enough and offers tips on finding the right lactation consultant before going into labor. We also talk about what to pack for the hospital and little tricks for getting the most out of your stay.

Flip flops for shower and room

Leggings + cute top for going home

Extension cord or long phone charger
Gift or snacks for nurses
Snacks for room/ middle of night
Pillow ( 2x) blanket ( Some people do not mind hospital pillows and blanket - I ended up having my parents bring me both because I wanted to be comfortable)
Birthing ball, speaker for music ( applicable if hypnobirthing or laboring without epidural), deodorant wipes
Going Home Outfit
Advil ( hospital can not give S/O medicine)
Toothbrush + toothpaste ( we did not need as we asked for extra bag for him)
Shorts + T Shirt for sleeping
Clean shirt for going home
